Emergency ID( EMID)
Life is unpredictable. It is full of surprises and we ought to learn from them. Today one of my
relatives met with an accident and by the grace of god the injury was not fatal. The whole event
disturbed me a lot.
In our busy life we are very particular about everything. We try hard to fulfill our wants, and as a
result all our humankind is addicted to our smartphone phones. We have become cyborgs who
carve for information 24*7 from these electronic boxes.
No No No I am not going against the use of them. But their user friendly design has made us
human weak and helpless without its presence. I think before any further ado, I should take you
to the incident that happened to my relative.
My brother in law met with an accident yesterday. On his way to his office, hardly a 10 minute
drive, suddenly he lost consciousness and fell off his bike.
When he opened his eyes, almost 20 minutes had passed. On opening his eyes, he was shocked,
with no clue what was happening around him. He was on the footpath trying to figure out what
was happening.
Some kind people present during this whole incident had gathered around him. They had offered
water. Later people started asking for his name and his address. It was too much for him. He was
still figuring out the situation. Helmet: broken, Glasses: cracked and his bike. And lastly. The
most important of all, Phone: display shut ๐
He was not in a state to recall his home phone number. With scratches and bleeding wounds on
his body, he was worried. With his display not working, all the data and contact list were hidden
in that 51/2" small electronic box. Luckily someone from his office had called him and all of it
was taken care of.
The point I want to convey from our experience is that in our daily busy routine, we must take
out sometime, and add our family/guardian contact to our phone’s speed dial. Additionally, we
should have a small notepad or a laminated card with all the important contacts and our address
to help us in the time of an accident, where our phone is broken or we are in a critical condition
to call our family for help on our own.
I hope none of you has to face this situation but accidents occur out of the blue.
I feel we have to prepare for the worst. It is an important precautionary measure.lets name it as EMID emergency id
Given below ist he list of things you may consider to write on a piece of paper you keep it on you all the time.

Many of us might do this for elders while they go out. But is it not important for everyone?
We all are extremely dependent on electronic goods. With all the pros of our gadgets, it must be
kept in our mind in the worst case scenarios like the phone getting stolen or it getting damaged in
the middle of nowhere.
First thing in the morning I am going to stick my details in my vehicle. I want all of you to do the
same and share your opinions, your thoughts and experiences where your dependence on this
electronic box proved counter productive
My dear friends, be careful, take precaution and live safe....loma...
